Meanwhile, back at the...

I know it's Christmas and I should post something festive. Sadly, I have nothing.

Instead, I shall present the first WKMTZagat poll!

How do you feel about Ranch dressing, and its increasing pervasiveness within the American casual culinary scene (I think Spago is safe for now, while Hometown Buffet probably offers 4 different blends of Ranch dressing)?

Comment! (I will go first)

Ranch dressing is only good for making carrots mildly palatable.

Otherwise, I hate Ranch!

The thicker the ranch, the better.

Ranch dip/dressing at Johnny Rockets is for some reason really delicious on onion rings.

I like Ranch DIP on carrots and bell peppers and other veggies.
I hate Ranch DRESSING for salads.

Yeah.

i despise how restaurants go shady and make their ranch watery.

why is it called ranch?

Ranch can be acceptable if said ranch is (a) not watered down, (b) on fried foods (like chicken strips), (c) mixed with ketchup.

I was told, by a friend that used to work at Coco's, that ranch is made of sour cream, a little bit of milk, and some other sort of seasoning.

Knowing this makes my stomach churn.
